Arturo en el Barco is the work of Angélica Negrón a composer from Astoria, New York via San Juan, Puerto Rico.  She is inspired by old family pictures, floating soap bubbles, random noises, marine creatures and puppets made by her friends. Her lo-fi ambient compositions are mostly crafted live through piano, accordions, found sounds, toys, violins, music boxes and voices.  Releases include albums on Observatory Online (Austria) and Carte Postale Records (Belgium) and also various compilations from labels such as Aerotone (Germany), Tri-Postal (Belgium). At-At Records (México) and Si No Puedo Bailar (Brazil). José Olivares (from Balún) collaborates in the project with additional programmings and keyboards and Javier Rodríguez joins the group in their live presentations playing banjo, bass recorder, musical saw and homemade electric mbira.
